                To develop a procedure for applying multifunctional probiotics to enhance the efficiency of intensive farming of several major freshwater fish species in Vietnam.<\/span><\/p>\n

                1. Research results:<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  The project has determined the appropriate dosage and frequency of application of multifunctional probiotics to improve growth, enhance resistance, improve feed conversion efficiency, and increase the survival rate of intensively farmed striped catfish and striped snakehead, as well as to improve water quality, specifically:<\/span><\/p>\n

                  – For striped catfish:<\/strong> the probiotic dosage is 100 g\/300 kg of feed, applied for 3 consecutive days, once per day, followed by a 1-day break.<\/span><\/p>\n

                  – For striped snakehead:<\/strong> the probiotic dosage is 100 g\/100 kg of feed, combined with an application schedule of 3 consecutive days, once per day, followed by a 1-day break.<\/span><\/p>\n

                  A procedure for applying the probiotics to enhance the efficiency of intensive farming of striped catfish and striped snakehead in Vietnam has been developed.<\/span><\/p>\n

                    The project has submitted 01 patent application for the Process for intensive farming of striped snakehead (Channa striata<\/em>) in earthen ponds using a powdered actinomycete preparation containing Streptomyces angustmyceticus<\/em> XK22 and Streptomyces kunmingensis<\/em> XK9<\/strong>. <\/strong>Patent application No. 1-2026-06105 has been published in the Industrial Property Gazette No. 466, Volume A, dated September 03, 2026, page 365.<\/span><\/p>\n

                    The project has supported the training of 01 PhD candidate on the topic: Selection of actinomycete strains belonging to the genus Streptomyces for application in the development of probiotic preparations for striped catfish (Pangasius hypophthalmus) farming.                     5.1 Methods of technology transfer<\/span><\/p>\n

                    The research results of the project can be transferred through guidance, training, and dissemination of the technical procedure to striped catfish and striped snakehead farming facilities, as well as the farmers who interested in applying probiotic preparations containing actinomycetes to enhance farming efficiency and improve the quality of the farming environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

                    5.2 Application addresses<\/span><\/p>\n

                    The research results can be applied at intensive striped catfish and striped snakehead farming facilities, as well as facilities producing, trading, and using probiotics in aquaculture; at the same time, they can be used as a basis for further improvement and transfer of the technical procedure to concentrated striped catfish and striped snakehead farming areas in Vietnam. The research results are also used in training and scientific research in the fields of biotechnology, aquaculture, and feed additives.<\/span><\/p>\n

                    5.3 Impacts and benefits of the research results<\/span><\/p>\n

                    The research results have determined the appropriate dosage and frequency of application of multifunctional probiotics for intensively farmed striped catfish and striped snakehead, contributing to improved growth, feed conversion efficiency, survival rate, and fish resistance, while also improving water quality during farming. The development of the probiotic application procedure provides a scientific and technical basis for applying probiotics in intensive farming of striped catfish and striped snakehead in Vietnam.<\/span><\/p>\n

                    In terms of science and technology, the products of the project have the potential for further exploitation, development, and transfer. The research results have been published in journals indexed in the Web of Science database, contributing to the publication and dissemination of research results on the application of Streptomyces in aquaculture.<\/span><\/p>\n

                    In terms of training and development of the science and technology human resources: the project has supported the training of 01 PhD candidate who is a full-time lecturer of the Hanoi Open University, conducting research on the selection of actinomycete strains belonging to the genus Streptomyces for the development of probiotic preparations for striped catfish farming.<\/span><\/p>\n

                    In terms of socio-economic and environmental aspects, the application of an appropriate probiotic use procedure can contribute to improving the efficiency of intensive striped catfish and striped snakehead farming through improved growth, feed utilization efficiency, survival rate, and water quality, thereby supporting improved production efficiency and promoting safe, efficient, and sustainable aquaculture practices.<\/span><\/p>\n
